March of Dimes and Pampers

We all know that November is Prematurity Awareness Month, but did you know that World Prematurity Day happens to be on November 17th?

I checked my e-mail today to an awesome message: from today until the 17th, Pampers will donate $5 to the March of Dimes foundation when you share your baby’s NICU story or upload a photo of your baby still in the NICU, along with thoughts and future plans for him/her. Just make sure you use the hashtags #littlestfighters and #MODimagine and tag @marchofdimes and @Pampers!

On top of that, Pampers will also donate $10 to the March of Dimes for every new Amazon Prime subscription on their diapers! Every NICU in the United States will also get a box of diapers from them as well. if that’s not awesome, then I don’t know what is!

Micropreemie, preemie, and newborn diapers.

When our girls were born, they only weighed 2lbs 12oz (River) and 2lbs 4oz (Lydia). They were so small. Their diapers were even smaller – River used Pampers’ preemie diapers from the get-go, however Lydia wore the micropreemie diapers, a diaper that fit in the palm of my hands, for the first two weeks. I’ll be honest, it weirded me out seeing such a small little diaper that had to have the top folded down so it would fit Lydia snugly. But I was so thankful that it exists, and it keeps micropreemies and preemies dry and protected. Now, 10 months later, our girls are wearing size 3 diapers and weigh 16lbs each. Unreal.

If you’re a preemie parent, share your story! Help Pampers and March of Dimes, but most importantly, help continue this amazing research that has helped thousands of babies and parents. There’s so much research to be done… Your help goes a long way.
